The Zen-sual craft cocktail lounge warmly welcomes you to enjoy our Zen Hours  from 4pm-7pm. Dinner seating at Zen Sai begins at 5pm. Romantic pool side dining available upon request.

Located in the historic 1930's Essex House Hotel, Zen Sai caters to its' Art Deco designed lobby for private events and cocktail receptions.

Renowned Chef Mike Hiraga  creates a menu masterpiece with Zen Sai. This indoor lounge and outdoor dining veranda features Asian-Fusion cuisine inspired by seasonal ingredients.

Every plate achieves that elusive, cuisine-defining balance of sweet, savory, and salty.


This Asian-Infused Izakaya brings a unique social dining experience to South Beach with small and large sharing plates of fresh seafood and Robata grilled items from Chef Mike Hiraga.

Signature items at Zen Sai include Fried Bok Choy, Black Cod with Yuzu Miso Sauce, Scallion Wrapped Ribeye, Pork Belly Sliders, Robata Grilled Octopus, Miso-Mustard Glazed Sea Bass and Spicy Rock Shrimp Tempura with Serrano Aioli and Worcestershire Sauce.

Zen Sai also features an extensive wine list, fine sakes and specialty sake cocktails to complement menu items.
